Raba Kistner Environmental announces promotion of Rick Klar, PG to Vice President

raba kistner logoMr. Steven E. Jones, CHCM, Senior Vice President and COO of Raba Kistner Environmental (RKE) is pleased to announce the promotion of Rick V. Klar, PG to Vice President of the firm. Rick has been with RKE since 1996 and currently serves as the Manager of Operations for RKE, in addition to the corporate discipline leader for geosciences services. He is directly responsible for leading, guiding, evaluating, and supporting the work of environmental project staff, in addition to weekly operational planning and resource allocation.  Rick also interacts with other RK companies as necessary to provide environmental support for complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Rick Klar_High Res_ColorRick is a registered Professional Geoscientist in the state of Texas and is responsible for implementing/overseeing site exploration and characterization activities in support of due diligence (Phase I, II, and III ESA) assessments, contamination assessments and remedial action plan development, soil and groundwater remediation projects, water quality/resources investigations, aggregate reserves planning, groundwater protection, in addition to a wide range of other environmental project types.  His project experience includes design and implementation of innovative site assessment approaches and strategies to address regulatory requirements and meet our Client’s long-term planning and project objectives.  Representative project experience includes geological mapping, karst feature surveys, surface and subsurface sampling of environmental media, landfill-gas and ground-water monitoring/recovery well design and installation, hydrogeologic investigations, and ground geophysical surveys.

Mr. Klar is currently a member of the Alamo Air and Waste Management Association in addition to the National Ground Water Association.  He received his M.S. in Applied Geology (Hydrogeology) from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1996 and his B.S. in Earth Sciences from Saint Mary’s University in 1992.

Raba Kistner announces new Chief Operating Officer of Infrastructure: Russel W. Lenz, P.E.

(RKI).  Russel has over 34 years of experience in the development, design, construction, maintenance and operation of transportation projects. He has served in executive level leadership positions within TxDOT as the Director of the Construction Division, Corpus Christi District Engineer, Abilene District Engineer, Waco Deputy District Engineer and South Travis/Hays County Area Engineer.  In 2013, he served as the Director of Heavy, Municipal and Utilities Divisions for the Associated General Contractors of Texas. Having expertise in managing activities associated with transportation planning, operations, right-of-way, design, construction, inspection, maintenance, safety, environmental, ferry operations and administrative support functions adds significantly to the body of knowledge within RKI.

Raba Kistner would also like to announce that Robert L. Wilson, P.E. will be stepping down from the COO role of Raba Kistner Infrastructure as of September 30, 2014.  Robert was the second employee hired to join Raba Kistner Infrastructure in 2002 and has been instrumental in its growth and national recognition in the transportation Design/Build industry.  He has served as Project Manager on over $5B of design/build quality programs across the U.S. and has served as COO of the firm since 2013.  Robert will remain an employee of RKI, assisting with project pursuits, project development and project management.

Project Control promotes Greg San Marco to Vice President

Worthington Promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Communications Officer at Security Service Federal Credit Union

He also served as Commander of the Air Force Broadcasting Service, directing Air Force broadcast activities around the world.

A Marine Corps veteran who served during the Vietnam War, Martinez will serve as the primary liaison with military installation commands and will be responsible for building financial literacy programs and expanding and improving all of the credit union’s services to active duty service men, women and their families in ways that meet the unique circumstances military members encounter.

Martinez joined SSFCU in 1997 as a service center manager, serving as senior vice president of member service since 2004. He is a long-time board member and former board chair for the South Texas Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He holds a degree in business from the College of the Desert in Twenty-nine Palms, CA.

Goss returns to SSFCU after three years as chief lending officer at Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento, CA. Prior to heading to the west coast, he served 13 years working through the ranks at SSFCU, eventually rising to vice president of Texas lending. He holds a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in finance from Southwest Texas State University.
