Friday, a San Antonio travel agent was singled out from thousands of travel professionals nationally with Travel Leaders’ “Employee of Excellence” Award. Travel Leaders recognized Mary DeGroat of Corporate Travel Planners (CTP)/Rennert Travel, a Tzell branch, which has been a member of Travel Leaders since 2011 for going above and beyond on behalf of both her business and leisure travel clients. DeGroat was presented with her award at the 2012 Travel Leaders National Meeting held in Dallas, Texas, at the Hyatt Regency Dallas at Reunion.

DeGroat was born in Germany and her family is from England, which helps explain why she has traveled extensively through Europe and has chosen to specialize in European travel. However, her enthusiasm for travel doesn’t begin and end there. Internationally she has also traveled to Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico, among other destinations. DeGroat has also traveled extensively throughout the United States and is a Hawaii Specialist.
