2021 North SA Chamber Civic Leadership Academy

Why is the North San Antonio Chamber focusing on Civic Leadership?

The North SA Chamber wants to help inspire and prepare business professionals for civic engagement and public service in elected offices and/or appointments to local boards and commissions.

We recognize a need for a more collaborative, balanced approach between business and local governments when it comes to making impactful policy decisions. This includes having representation of elected and appointed officials with business experience and an understanding of how local government policies and decisions impact their businesses, employers, workforce, and the overall economy.

What is the Civic Leadership Academy (CLA)?

Through an expertly curated, civic-focused program, the North SA Chamber will implement a CLA Program that will result in a small group of carefully selected and committed business professionals who are prepared to engage in public service, positioning themselves to embark on campaigns for local key civic engagement and/or elected positions.
