Councils & Committees

The North San Antonio Chamber encourages Member engagement and provides a variety of ways for Members to get involved. Through volunteer opportunities, engaged Members take a leadership role in forging new initiatives, planning events, and empowering the business community.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

Strategizes and develops advanced initiatives and programs addressing critical needs and closing gaps in our Member workforce. Many programs include collaboration with community and education partners, focusing on the full workforce spectrum, including military transition, STEM disciplines, and cybersecurity development.

FINANCE COUNCIL

Contributes to the financial planning, forecasting, and accounting processes governing the North SA Chamber’s fiscal year. Members of this council are selected for their experience and expertise in the financial world and actively assist Chamber staff, and the Board of Directors in achieving the North SA Chamber’s financial goals, by tracking financial trends and reviewing internal controls. Additionally, the Finance Council oversees the CFO Forum knowledge series.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COUNCIL

Advocates for Member-businesses and their employees before municipal, county, state, and federal officials on issues of public policy and legislation impacting the economic growth, quality of life, and financial health of local industries. The Government Affairs Council evaluates proposed initiatives and educates Members on policies and legislation, which may affect the way business is conducted in San Antonio.

INFRASTRUCTURE COUNCIL

The North San Antonio Chamber Infrastructure Council serves as a resource and strategic advocate for San Antonio regional infrastructure planning and development to improve the quality of life for our members and stakeholders. Council serves as a vehicle for proposed (policy/actions) to Executive Council/Board.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

The Council will establish regular meetings/ programs for members to interact with economic development policymakers and stakeholders while identifying challenges and opportunities with local regulations that directly or indirectly impact economic growth.

LEADERSHIP & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

Directs the North SA Chamber’s specialized and advanced leadership and professional development programs, such as Leadership Lab and Innovative Leadership. This Council cultivates personal leadership, and builds professional skills and connections to business networks.

SMALL BUSINESS COUNCIL

Serves the needs of small business owners, providing a forum to address entrepreneurial issues, Member-to-Member marketing, networking and recognition, business showcase opportunities, and topical speakers.

TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL

Focuses on educating North SA Chamber Members and the community at large on technology infrastructure, products, services, business best practices, and cybersecurity.
