Seaworld kicks off summer with brand new Shamu Show

Seaworld aquaticaPlay all day and all night starting Saturday, June 14 when SeaWorld® kicks off its annual “Summer Nights” series with a brand-new Shamu show, Shamu Celebration: Light Up the Night. Guests will experience the sea as it transforms after sunset. This new night show features colorful splashes, high-energy music and sea-inspired illuminations that will have the entire family dancing.

shamu+night_192441This year, SeaWorld San Antonio enjoys a Sea of Surprises during its 50th Celebration with new interactive pathway experiences, even more up-close animal encounters and the Surprise Squad, treating guests with prizes and special experiences every day.

xA030747_4C_Cropped_115817There will be even more surprises with the addition of two 50th Celebration-themed acts, the Sea Street Band and Splash Dance. The Sea Street Band will play a large variety of bass and percussion instruments keeping the energy high as they travel through the streets of SeaWorld inviting guests to join the party. Another 50thCelebration act sure to entertain guests is the Splash Dance. This act, featuring our local “landscaping team,” will fill the air with music, laughter and water – all leading to a high-energy splash dance!

Guests will not want to miss the all-new ski show, Hydro Power: an Xtreme Ski Show™. This splashy show captures the audience’s attention with non-stop action including unique stunts and comedy capers in a variety of individual and ensemble performances.

Returning seasonal favorites include:

  • Sol Celebration, this end of night finale show features singers, dancers and musicians that burn the floor with their Latin-inspired dance moves, screamin’ trumpets and elaborate costumes. This show will take place each evening under SeaWorld’s signature arches.
  • Sea Lions Tonite, starring Clyde and Seamore, who are back with pranks and spoofs funnier than ever.
  • Sesame Street® Bay of Play® Block Party, this family-friendly street “party” invites guests to sing and dance along with all of their Sesame Street friends.
  • Elmo Rocks, a Sesame Street rock ‘n roll musical show starring Elmo with Zoe, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert and Ernie.   

ShamuSummerNightsThe most affordable way guests can experience SeaWorld’s “Summer Nights” and all the Aquatica attractions is with a 2014SeaWorld Fun Card.A Fun Card provides unlimited visits to the park at $65 plus tax for adults and $55plus tax for children ages 3 to 9. Guests wanting unlimited access to both SeaWorld and Aquatica parks can purchase a two-park Fun Card for $100 plus tax for adults and $90 plus tax for children ages 3 to 9. The SeaWorld Annual Pass is $100 plus tax for adults or children and includes unlimited admission, free parking and discounts. A SeaWorld/Aquatica Annual Pass is available at $135 plus tax for adults or children and includes unlimited admission, free parking and discounts. EZ Pay monthly payment options are also available on the park’s Annual Passes for those who qualify. Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark™, has started daily operations and will also keep its doors open later during the summer giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the brand-new addition, Roa’s Aviary. The new aviary has become home to hundreds of tropical birds representing more than 50 species from all over the world, including scarlet ibis, pigeons, doves, turacos, pheasants, roseate spoonbills and many more. Aquatica also offers the luxury and amenities of an island resort, including terraced pools, expansive sandy beaches, thrilling rides and private cabanas, all in a tropical setting.

In honor of Independence Day, guests will be treated to a colorful new fireworks display at Ski Lake – the 4th and 5th of July Celebration. This stunning mix of pyrotechnics set to an all-new musical score will begin at 9:45 p.m. This jaw-dropping show will illuminate SeaWorld’s skyline and captivate guests with its spectacular display of colorful flames and twinkling sparks. Prior to the show, guests can enjoy live music and entertainment for all ages.
