Lori Place joins BKD

PrintJon M. McDowell, managing partner of BKD, LLP’s San Antonio office is pleased to announce the addition of Lori Place as a manager in tax.

Place has more than 20 years accounting and taxation experience, specializing in individual, fiduciary and transfer tax.  She is also involved in tax planning and training.

Lori PlaceBefore joining BKD, Place worked with several local and regional firms in Austin and San Antonio, serving as a tax manager and overseeing the preparation of individual and fiduciary income tax returns, federal estate returns, and gift tax returns.  She has worked with a number of high net-worth individuals and attorneys helping them with tax and wealth transfer planning.

Place is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas CPA Society, San Antonio Chapter, and the San Antonio Estate Planners Council.  She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, with a Master in Professional Accounting degree in Taxation, as well as a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from South Dakota State University.
