Coronavirus Emergency Loan Small Business Guide and Checklist

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, known as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. The PPP initiative provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses who maintain their payroll during this emergency.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce created Coronavirus Small Business Guide (available at or PDF) to help small businesses, independent contractors, and gig economy workers prepare to file for a coronavirus relief loan.

The guide outlines steps small businesses should take now and prepare to access much-needed funds to help keep their workers on the payroll during this crisis period.
