E-Alert | COVID-19
Message from CEO & President
As a valued North SA Chamber member, we appreciate the loyalty and trust you place in us every day. I just wanted to share some of the safeguards and actions we are enacting over the next 30 days to protect the health and well-being of our employees, members and stake-holders as we all confront the COVID-19 pandemic in San Antonio.

While the North SA Chamber is open for business and ready to meet your membership needs, we are also committed to the safety of all who our business touches. We have been closely monitoring national, regional and local COVID-19 developments and proactively taking actions to responsibly prepare so our stakeholders and members remain safe, healthy and prosperous.

Prudent steps we’ve undertaken include:

  • Restricting access to the North SA Chamber office building to employees and essential vendors only
  • Enhanced protocols and frequency of equipment and facility cleaning for employee protection
  • Arrangements to hold all essential chamber Council meetings and Board meetings virtually or by teleconference
  • Postponement of all North SA Chamber events originally scheduled over the next 30 days

We are continually educating our employees and providing them with preventative resources – including remote access – to keep themselves and their families healthy and instructing them to stay home if they are not feeling well. Additionally, we have directed our employees to use teleconference and other methods of communication with our members for essential work as appropriate. Please partner with us in these important efforts and consider alternative communication methods if they are appropriate.

As the COVID-19 situation evolves and we learn more, additional preventative measures may be implemented to better ensure everyone’s well-being. We appreciate your continued support as we all work together as a community to minimize the COVID-19 impact. Thank you in advance for your patience and continued membership as we successfully navigate this challenging and uncertain situation.
Response to Businesses
In addition to public health, we understand the impact that this crisis is having on business and our overall economy. Businesses are having to make difficult decisions and are having to adapt to this situation and the local health emergency declarations. Below are information and resources that we hope you will find helpful.

For our small businesses, we encourage you to plan ahead and consider SBA low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters.
