Dr. J. Lee Whittington, Professor – University of Dallas

Dr. Whittington is Professor of Management in the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business at the University of Dallas. He focuses his teaching, research, and consulting in the areas of Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and Spiritual Leadership.

His research has been published in The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, Journal of Managerial Issues, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Strategy, and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management.

Kelly O’Rourke, Practice Director – Point B Consulting

Kelly has broad experience collaborating with business and client leadership to achieve desired outcomes in both local and global environments. His expertise includes strategic planning, business analysis, process improvement, program management, software implementation, organizational development, and change management in several industries, including financial services, high-tech, and retail.

Strategic Thinking

Dr. Dale Fodness, Associate Professor – University of Dallas

Dr. Fodness is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. His current research focuses on marketing and sustainability, particularly issues related to strategic thinking and innovation. His work has been published in a number of leading journals including Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Business Strategy, Journal of Services Marketing and the Journal of Travel Research. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Services Marketing.

Dr. Fodness’s consulting focuses primarily on strategy, research and training, and development. His consulting clients include Microsoft, Ericsson, Cisco, and American Airlines.

Design Thinking

Dr. Luis Martinez, Director – Trinity University

Dr. Martinez is noted for his dynamic, energetic teaching style marked with extensive use of cooperative and collaborative learning and interdisciplinary Peer-Led Team Learning.

Prior to his academic appointments, he worked as a consultant with Kendall Strategies where he was sought by early stage investors and senior management in private and public companies for his startup expertise in business strategy, new product and business development, corporate positioning, corporate communications and investor relations, and competitive technology analysis.

Jenia Espe, Chief Design Thinker – RedSquared Consulting LLC

Jenia has over 15 years’ experience working as an international business consultant, running her own business and working for USAA, a Fortune 100 company in the financial services sector. While there, she led a team of customer experience professionals and had a unique chance to build methodology from the ground up and drive customer experience transformation. She is a Certified Professional Coach specializing in change management and coaching women through career transitions. Her expertise includes user-centered design, product management, customer experience strategy development, and change management.

Dr. Tara Schwegler, Master of Big Ideas – RedSquared Consulting LLC

Tara is a cultural anthropologist with over 15 years of qualitative research experience and expertise in the corporate and academic sectors. As an experience design strategist at USAA, she developed holistic customer experiences and launched “Think Differently” – an engaging, hands-on introduction to design thinking for USAA employees. As a Collegiate Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago, she taught courses in anthropology, qualitative research methods.

Culture of Innovation

Dr. Gregory Pool – St. Mary’s University

Dr. Pool is Chair of the Department of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He also serves as the Director of the Executive Education Program at the Greehey School of Business.

Dr. Pool’s research interests include Attitude Change and Persuasion, Majority and Minority Influence, Social Influence, Social Norms and Behavior Prediction and Social Undermining in the Workplace. He is an Editorial Board member for Social Influence and has numerous published works, including Relationships among Supervisor and Coworker Social Undermining and Workplace Retaliation (2008 April).
