FOCUS: The Government Affairs Council serves as an advocate for member businesses and their employees before city and state elected officials on public policy and legislative and civic issues that have an impact on the economy, the growth potential and profitability of business, and overall quality of life. This Council informs and educates members on proposed initiatives, policies and legislation which may affect the way business is conducted and profitability maintained. North Chamber members, through a direct link to business, political and civic leaders, take an action-oriented position to tackle legislative issues and influence public policy.
