Finance Council

FOCUS: The mission of the Finance Council is to assist and serve the membership, board of directors and chamber staff in achieving its financial goals and objectives. This Council provides monthly financial statements, prepares annual comparisons, tracks financial trends and reviews internal controls.

David joined Texas Capital Bank in July of 2013 as the President for the San Antonio region. David directs all of the San Antonio commercial banking activities. This includes the local personnel that comprise the entire relationship teams in the Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Banking and Corporate Banking teams.

Mr. Pope has spent his 28 year banking career with different roles within the Commercial Banking industry. He has managed different teams with various roles and responsibilities for both global banks as well as, a local community bank. Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, David was the Executive Vice President and Group Manager of Broadway National Bank. He was responsible for commercial real estate lending, commercial and industrial lending and treasury management products. Prior to Broadway Bank, David spent over 22 years working for JP Morgan Chase, Bank One and Wells Fargo in various capacities.

David is active in the community and participates in several organizations. David is a board member of the Mission Road Ministries, The North San Antonio Chamber and the St. Mary’s Forum for Entrepreneurship. He has previously served on the boards of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, University of the Incarnate Word Development Board, the Mays YMCA Board and the San Antonio Livestock Auction Committee.

David obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University where he serves on the San Antonio Advisory board of the Texas Tech Rawls School of Business. He is married to his wife Tracy and is the father of four children.
