“Business owners are very good at being business owners. But unfortunately, they don’t always have the advanced skills necessary to sell themselves, their products and their company in the short amount of time necessary to catch the attention of a potential customer,” said David Rodriguez, Financial Education Manager for Generations FCU. “In today’s business environment, owners need to be able to explain within 15 seconds in a compelling and interesting way why someone should do business with them.”
The Small Business Workshop series presents topics that are relevant to today’s small business owners and reinforce the skills they need to be successful. Upcoming classes in the series include Get Noticed, Mastering the Sale and Becoming Loan Ready. The series includes in-person classes as well as webinars.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. The cost of the class is $10, however participants who enter the promotional code GFCU6PITCH will be able to attend for free. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served and individuals can register by visiting https://www.mygenfcu.org/financial-education or by calling 210-554-3574.
“Small business owners should never have to face the countless hurdles, stress and difficulties by themselves. Through the Small Business Workshops, our goal is to be their financial advocate and to offer step-by-step assistance. When they are on the right path for growth and success, our community grows and succeeds right along with them,” Rodriguez concluded.
