The North Chamber appreciates the achievements of business leaders across the city for their many contributions to their respective industries, the overall community and their employees. The North Chamber is proud to offer a variety of forums in which to recognize our city's great men and women who are accomplished both in business and community-service.
ATHENA Young Professional Award (Annual): The North Chamber is the exclusive, local host organization - in partnership with the National ATHENA Foundation, for the presentation of the prestigious ATHENA® Young Professional Award. Nominations are solicited and an ATHENA crystal prism is awarded to a local emerging leader who meets specific criteria. Additionally, the chamber awards the North Chamber Young Professional Awards in the areas of Professional Leadership, Community Service and Personal Leadership. Enterprising Women's Conference (EWC)/ATHENA Award® (Annual): The North Chamber is the exclusive, local host organization - in partnership with the National ATHENA Foundation, for the presentation of the prestigious ATHENA Award® and the ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award. Nominations are solicited and an ATHENA sculpture is awarded to a local leader and business/organization who meet specific criteria. By honoring exceptional leaders, the ATHENA Award® Program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence in their professional and personal lives. Gala/San Antonian Award (Annual): The San Antonian Award is reserved for those individuals whose contributions transcend their industry, career and neighborhoods, and the award is presented at the North Chamber's annual installation banquet. The San Antonian is the preeminent example of the personal contribution of time, talent and treasure to one's community. San Antonian Award Recipients
Ribbon Cuttings (Ongoing): The North Chamber provides a service to members by sharing good will at member-hosted celebrations throughout the year. For members who wish to promote new or relocating offices, ground breakings, or company anniversaries, North Chamber Ambassadors attend the event and conduct a ribbon cutting and photo opportunity for publication in the North Chamber News newsletter.
Salute to Excellence (Annual): This recognition event, presented by the North Chamber's non-profit foundation Lead SA, is designed to honor San Antonio's finest leaders and organizations for their contributions in the areas of community contribution, business achievement, leadership and philanthropy. Small Business Leaders Awards (SBLA) (Annual): This recognition event recognizes a number of business leaders for their achievements in categories including Community Service, Career Achievement, Business Achievement, Business Innovation, Employee Relations, New Business and Small Business Leader of the Year.
