The North Chamber appreciates the achievements of business leaders across the city for their many contributions to their respective industries, the overall community and their employees. The North Chamber is proud to offer a variety of forums in which to recognize our city's great men and women who are accomplished both in business and community-service.
ATHENA Young Professional Award (Annual): The prestigious ATHENA Young Professional Award will have its inaugural presentation in San Antonio via the North Chamber - the exclusive host organization, in partnership with the National ATHENA Foundation, local businesses and individual sponsors. Nominations will be solicited and an ATHENA crystal prism will be awarded to a local emerging leader who meets specific criteria. ATHENA Young Professional Award Criteria & Nomination Form
Enterprising Women's Conference (EWC)/ATHENA Award® (Annual): The prestigious ATHENA Award® is presented annually by chambers of commerce, women's organizations and universities. The award is established through local, proprietary host organizations, like the North Chamber, in partnership with the National ATHENA Foundation, local businesses and individual sponsors. Nominations are solicited and an ATHENA sculpture is awarded to an individual in the community who meets specific criteria. Since the program's inception in 1982, more than 5,000 awards have been presented in over 500 communities in the U.S., Canada, China, Russia, the UAE and most recently the UK. By honoring exceptional leaders, the ATHENA Award® Program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence in their professional and personal lives. Gala/San Antonian Award (Annual): The San Antonian Award is reserved for those individuals whose contributions transcend their industry, career and neighborhoods, and the award is presented at the North Chamber's annual installation banquet. The San Antonian is the example of personal contribution of time, talent and treasure to one's community. San Antonian Award Recipients
Ribbon Cuttings (Ongoing): The North Chamber provides a service to members by sharing good will at member-hosted celebrations throughout the year. For members who wish to promote new or relocating offices, ground breakings, or company anniversaries, North Chamber Ambassadors attend the event and conduct a ribbon cutting and photo opportunity for publication in the North Chamber News newsletter.
Salute to Excellence (Annual): This recognition event, presented by the North Chamber's non-profit foundation Lead SA, is designed to honor San Antonio's finest leaders and organizations for their contributions in the areas of community contribution, business achievement, leadership and philanthropy. Small Business Leaders Awards (SBLA) (Annual): This recognition event recognizes a number of business leaders for their achievements in categories including Business Achievement, Business Advocacy, Business Innovation, Career Achievement, Community Service, Employee Relations, New Business and Overall Achievement.
