Kirk Kistner is Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Bartlett Cocke General Contractors. He is responsible for overseeing long range and strategic planning, corporate and regional marketing and positioning, brand management and print and digital media production. Additionally, Kirk serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and is an Employee Owner. Kirk has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has held multiple operational and preconstruction positions. He is actively involved and serves a number of professional and charitable organizations. Kirk was born and raised in San Antonio, is a 1984 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, and earned his degree from Texas A&M University. He currently lives in New Braunfels, Texas with his wife Laura, his ten year old daughter Kelsey and his seven year old son Kyle.

About the Programs: The golf tourney is a great way for members to network and entertain clients or prospects. The event offers participants a day on the greens, prizes, awards dinner, a silent auction and much more. The infrastructure committee reviews transportation and infrastructure planning, construction and maintenance issues, as well as the political and financial issues relating to these improvements. A guest speaker presents on a related topic followed by a report by each public agency present.
Personally Speaking: Jim has been an active North Chamber volunteer for over five years and has severed on the board for three years. Jim says, "The North Chamber is a great venue for business networking and establishing meaningful and long lasting personal business relationships."

Government Affairs Council
FOCUS: The Government Affairs Council serves as an advocate for member businesses and their employees before city and state elected officials on public policy and legislative and civic issues that have an impact on the economy, the growth potential and profitability of business, and overall quality of life. This Council informs and educates members on proposed initiatives, policies and legislation which may affect the way business is conducted and profitability maintained. North Chamber members, through a direct link to business, political and civic leaders, take an action-oriented position to tackle legislative issues and influence public policy.
EXPLORE legislative, political and civic issues, and work with other businesses, community groups, chambers of commerce, and city, county and state government and agencies to solve problems at monthly Council Meetings.
MONITOR and suggest necessary changes and/or improvements regarding roads, drainage and other infrastructure issues as a member of the Infrastructure Committee. Program Chair: Jim Koenig
IDENTIFY issues that affect business, economic development and quality of life; and participate in the drafting and endorsement of a Legislative Agenda, including conducting advocacy efforts at the local and state levels.
