Howard Baker is Senior Vice President ∓ Chief of Staff at Security Service Federal Credit Union, where he supports CEO activities in all facets of the credit union across all departments; is the focal point for all administrative policies, procedures, and protocol; and serves as the primary liaison between executive management and the credit union's Board of Directors and the Supervisory Committee, as well as with regulatory agencies.
With over 20 years of credit union regulatory and management experience, Howard joined Security Service as Vice President, Strategic Projects in November 2000, and was promoted to his current position in January of 2002.
Howard is active in several community leadership roles, serving on the Seton Home Board of Governors for the past 6 years, the last 2 as Chairman of the Board Chairman. He sits on the McCoy School of Business Advisory Board at Texas State University, as well as the LeadSA Board of Directors; and previously served as Treasurer of the Pinnacle Property Owners Association from 1999 to 2003.
He and his wife of 20 years, live near New Braunfels with their two daughters.
Finance Council
FOCUS: The mission of the Finance Council is to assist and serve the membership, board of directors and chamber staff in achieving its financial goals and objectives. This Council provides monthly financial statements, prepares annual comparisons, tracks financial trends and reviews internal controls.
