Rob Killen is vice president and shareholder of Kaufman & Killen, Inc., where he is actively involved in the management of the law firm’s office and staff. He represents and advises businesses, property owners and trade groups on governmental relations, land use and economic development. He also lends his expertise to provide continuing education to real estate, construction and legal industry professionals statewide.
Rob’s professional achievements have been recognized by Scene in SA magazine as a 2009 Rising Star Attorney and by the San Antonio Business Journal as a 2008 40 Under 40 Rising Star. And as his firm grows, Rob still finds time to give back to the community through various civic endeavors. He is active in professional organizations including the Real Estate Council of San Antonio and the San Antonio Bar Association among many others.
Rob completed his undergraduate studies at UTSA and earned his jurist doctorate from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. Rob has remained dedicated to his alma mater, having served on the UTSA Alumni Association board of directors since 2006, he is president of the alumni association and a member of the UTSA Development board.

A Business Banker and Small Business Relationship Manager at the Stone Ridge Market on Hwy 281 at Evans Rd. location, Kate is constantly learning more about this market and enjoys introducing Frost to North Central San Antonio. She has been with Frost for over 17 years.
About the Programs: BLC groups provide business owners, general managers, principals or general partners a forum to discuss business issues and concerns on a number of group topics including General Business, Marketing, Retail, Sales and Sole Proprietorship. Admission into BLC groups is ongoing and an application is required for admission.
Personally Speaking: Kate has been involved in BLCs for over five years as a group facilitator and lead facilitator, and has also served on the ATHENA Award committee. She says the North Chamber is a great business resource for growth, business development and relationship building. “I encourage all business professionals to get involved and participate in the North Chamber,” says Kate.

About the Program: This committee provides value-added and educational employee health resources localized to the San Antonio business community. The Health & Wellness committee looks at a range of programs and educational resources with an eye toward helping businesses better manage their employee health costs and maintain a healthier and more productive workforce.
Personally Speaking: Phyllis has been involved in North Chamber activities for 10 years and has served on the board of directors since 2004, the Enterprising Women’s Conference committee since 2001 – chairing it in 2004, and on the Gala committee since 2009. She says, “the North Chamber is all about stewardship with a focus on developing productive leaders, recognizing members and organizations for their contributions and enabling both small businesses and large organizations to be effective community members.”
